Hey guys and gals,
How you feeling today? Its Sunday at 9am here and I've just gotten up and had my eggs and veggies for breakfast. I'm feelin pretty good and about to go do some major work in the gym. Laura is going to be running 12 miles today which is twice around Central Park in anticipation of her first half marathon coming up next weekend. Its all she can talk about laterly and I'm super proud of her. I'm going to try to get her back on to talk to you guys today.
One super exciting thing is that its the last day of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. I have to be honest in saying that I missed most of it because I'm one of those rare folks that doesn't own a television. Normally I'll I'll see some of it when I'm at the gym because they have it on several televisions in the place. Kind of sucks though because its a little mesmorising at times and gets in the way of my actual workouts. I did stop in a bar the other day to see the semifinals in hockey where the US beat Finland 6-1 to solidify their place in the Gold Medal game which is today!
I can't wait for this match up. The US vs Canada! Canada has been the faVorite to win since the games started. Of course anyone that follows hockey knows that in an earlier game, Canada lost 5-3 against USA. Honestly, its going to be an amazing game but I'm guessing that Canada won't let another victory slip by again. As much as I want my country to come out victorious, if I had to bet money, I'd put it on Canada. Anyway, super excited about that game coming up today but first I have to get through an extremely tough workout.
This is day three of the new Phase two in Vince Delmonte's Maximize Your Muscle workout. Its a killer too. This phase seems to be all about O2 debt and stability. Its a lot of full body motions designed to tax your cardio-vascular system and leave you in a sniveling heap of goo on the floor. This is a five day full body routine that really hits everything, particularly your core. The workouts are fast and intense and some of the most creative movements I've ever seen. I've been working out for many years now and I can honestly say that out of the 50 different exercises we do each week, I've probably only done about 10 of them in their exact variations. The other 40 are breand new.
This doesn't seem like a huge mass building month but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't set my body up for massive gains next month. I have a feeling I'm going to go into next month much stronger and with more mitochondria in the muscles. I think I'm going to really strech out the muscles, make some bodily corrections, and get this six pack poppin this month. I'm super excited about it!
Anyway, I may not be able to check in after the workout today so I just wanted to do so now and let you all know what I'm up to. Leave your comments below about the game. Let me know who you're pulling for.
Until Next Time,
Kris
